Excell International provides education for children and young people, between the ages of 8 and 18. Our pupils are usually unable to attend conventional schools; most frequently this is due to chronic ill-health, although some pupils are abroad for extended periods, a few are receiving home tuition by parental choice and some are excluded from their mainstream school.
Each pupil follows an individual timetable that is devised and monitored by a personal tutor. The pupil downloads their weekly lessons from their own area of our school web site. They print the lessons and work through the tasks set.
Resources To accommodate all individual needs and abilities, Excell International uses a range of resources. These include up-to-date national curriculum textbooks, websites, worksheets, cdroms, cassettes, videos and science resource kits. Pupils are encouraged to research from newspapers and periodicals as well as books and the internet. Each pupil has a core textbook for every subject so that they are not entirely dependent on the content of internet-based lessons and can work at their own speed. At Excell International, encourage regular contact between pupils and tutors. This enables a good working relationship to develop based on mutual respect. It contributes vastly to improving confidence and raising self esteem, which is an important objective in all tuition plans.
